Johan Jervoe new Chairman of the WFA Sponsorship Taskforce

The latest Sponsorship Taskforce meeting in Vienna saw Johan Jervoe, Corporate Vice President Global Marketing, McDonald's confirmed as the new Chairman of the Sponsorship Taskforce. The Vienna meeting was co-hosted by Coca-Cola and was attended by 18 WFA members (members can view the minutes on request [email protected]).

Said Stephan Loerke, Managing Director, WFA "I would like to congratulate Johan on becoming Chairman of the Sponsorship Taskforce. To have this calibre of Chairman reflects the increasing importance of sponsorship to WFA members".

This unique forum provides an opportunity for sponsors and the WFA's network of National Advertiser Associations to explore the opportunities and debate the challenges facing this sector at a global, regional and national level. Membership of this group is a valuable tool for marketers."

The Sponsorship Taskforce's objective is to build members' capability in sponsorship as a marketing discipline. This is achieved through a network of marketing experts sharing innovations, case studies and expertise, which help to build members' efficiency and effectiveness in this discipline. The next meeting of this group will take place on 25th November ‘08 in Dusseldorf and will be hosted by Henkel.
