Date: 20/02/2010

WFA has launched a new network for marketing procurement specialists based in the Asia-Pacific region. The group will be open to all WFA members who have dedicated sourcing experts who cover the APAC region or key markets within it.

Members of this new network will decide which issues should be the subject of future surveys and benchmarks. The group's work and will cover a number of strategic sourcing challenges such as: incentivizing performance in agency compensation; establishing a transparent basis for costs and understanding the marketing services supply chain.

In parallel, the Global Communications Procurement Action Group (Global COMPAG), chaired by Jean-Luc Charlier (Philips) will continue its work with over 250 marketing sourcing contacts globally.

The APAC Marketing Sourcing network is part of the work WFA is increasingly doing in the region for APAC based members. (WFA's Media & Marketing network met recently for the first time in Singapore).
