Consumer development in China: 20 trends for marketers

A new one page report lists twenty changes and trends taking place in China today that will have an impact on how consumers think and spend in tough times.

The list has been compiled by Bates 141, an Asia based trends agency and focuses on the implications of areas such as:

- The move from global to domestic demand for goods and services
- Pride in 21st century architectural symbols such as the Birds Nest and National Theatre
- Record government spending on rural development: +30% vs. 2008
