This year’s Project Reconnect was entitled “People Inc.” We set out to show how great brand marketing in the digital age puts people first and how delivering meaningful and valued brand experiences pays dividends.
We also explored how to foster the best possible conditions for great work to flourish. How best to nurture talent? How best to work with other functions internally? How to get the best out of your agency partners? And how to innovate and look beyond your organisation for inspiration and talent?
Some of the industry’s biggest names shared their own experiences of what works (and what doesn’t), including RBS CMO and WFA President David Wheldon, TATA Communications’ VP for Strategy and Marketing Amit Sinha Roy, Karmarama’s Executive Chairman Jon Wilkins, R3 Co-Founder ShuFen Goh and Contagious Insider’s Director of Content and Strategy Will Sansom. More information on the session and speakers here.
The session was followed by cocktails sponsored by Unruly.
ABOUT PROJECT RECONNECT
Project Reconnect is an initiative led by the World Federation of Advertisers to try and develop a better understanding of what people want and expect from brands.
In an age defined by ultra-connectivity, transparency, and where standing out from the crowd is harder than ever, many brands need to adapt. Increasingly aspirational and demanding consumers expect brands to stand for something more, provide experiences and address some of the world’s problems: it’s no longer just about the functional delivery of a product or service.
Project Reconnect seeks to inspire marketers with great brand stories, strategies and executions, identify why they succeed and deliver actionable insight that marketers can transfer into their day jobs and skill sets.
