Spanish advertising industry rallies against ad ban

On 15th June, faced with a total ban on advertising on Spanish public TV (TVE - Televisión Española) the Spanish advertising industry has launched a concerted campaign to highlight the potential consequences of the ban.

The industry coalition of 16 associations, including the Spanish Advertiser Association (AEA), has focused on some of the potential counter-productive impacts of these measures:

- 18,000 jobs in danger

- Diminished productivity for at least 4,637 companies
