China Association of National Advertisers participates in ad industry forums
Date: 20/05/2009
During April, the China Association of National Advertisers (CANA) represented marketers at two industry wide forums:
On 28-29 April, the 6th China Outdoor Advertising Forum was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. The subject of this conference was "outdoor communication integration in the e-age"; it took multi-dimensional media resources integration and the promotion of innovative technology as two core issues. Mr. Duan Ruichun, the executive president of China Association of National Advertisers, gave the opening address at the conference which was well received by attendees.
Mr. Duan Ruichun's presentation (available below for WFA members) focused on how innovation is the crucial factor to turn the current economic crisis into an opportunity for marketers, and that those who weather the storm, demonstrating their vitality, will emerge stronger as a result. He added how it is CANA's ambition to help marketers in China achieve this ambition more effectively.
On 24 April, the 4th China Advertising Trend Forum was successfully hosted in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This forum, co-hosted by China Association of National Advertisers and Peking University, gathered luminaries from all parts of China's ad industry. More than 300 participants attended from economic circles, press, and global marketers.
The subject of this forum was to help promote economic growth in China and to help reinstate market confidence. The forum aimed to discuss how new media and communications management tools can help brands regain momentum during a downturn, especially given that traditional approaches to brand building are not always adaptable to the current economic environment.
