Spanish Advertiser Association to champion advertising as key to driving consumer spending
Date: 24/03/2009
The Spanish Advertisers Association (AEA) is leading a campaign designed to position advertising as a potential shot in the arm to the ailing Spanish economy. The initiative will include a number of concrete proposals to the Spanish government which will seek to incentivize advertising as a driver of consumer spending.
Leading a broad industry coalition, AEA is actively seeking comments and suggestions from its corporate members as well as other market operators, including agencies and the media, via the following email address: [email protected].
Industry input will be evaluated by a special working group, which will report directly to the Spanish Secretary of State for Communications. AEA also plans to use data, which demonstrates a direct link between advertising investment and economic growth, previously published and disseminated by the WFA.
WFA's own campaign on the value of advertising can be accessed here and the study on the correlation between advertising and economic growth can be downloaded here.
