WFA holds Asia-Pacific Network meeting in Manila

On 20-21 October, WFA held a meeting of its Asia-Pacific Network in Manila, Philippines.

The event was kindly co-hosted by the Philippines Association of National Advertisers (PANA) and brought together experts from WFA's National Advertiser Associations (including Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines) as well as senior corporate members from companies with activities in Asia.

Subjects discussed during the two day meeting covered:
- The latest global developments in food and alcohol marketing communications and ramifications for APAC markets;
- Media Smart: teaching children to be media literate;
- Digital marketing communications: 1. Privacy and the risk of regulation 2. The promise of increased engagement and ROMI;
- Transparency: 1. WFA global survey on surcommissions 2. Potential actions to drive greater transparency in Asian markets;
- National Association issues and priorities.
