Ian Hutchinson to Chair WFA Media Committee

Ian Hutchinson, Worldwide Media Director for Reckitt Benckiser, has been announced as the new Chairman of the WFA Media Committee, a peer-to-peer group of global and regional media directors from WFA multi-national corporate and national advertiser association membership. The Media Committee was launched in 1995 with the objective of helping members' effectiveness in relation to marketing communications through knowledge exchange and industry leadership.

Ian is based in the UK and has worked for RB for over 16 years. He previously worked at MediaCom and Leo Burnett. He will take over the Media Committee in January 2012 and will replace Ian Gallois, Senior Director, Global Media, Wrigley, who has chaired the group for the past four years.

The Media Committee's dual objectives are to improve global media industry practice and provide actionable insight to help inform better decision-making for WFA members in relation all areas of media management, including cost control, accountability strategies, agency remuneration and media auditing.
