Global Procurement Senior Buyer

Overview

Are you an experienced Procurement Senior Buyer looking for your next career opportunity? If so, this temporary opportunity on our Procurement team could be the one for you. In this role you will be managing Indirect spend (Energy, IS IT and Services among others) and be the go to person for the expertise and guidance on Indirect spend.

Responsibilities

• Developing annual operating plans (budgets), productivity plans development and executing against them across the supply base.
• Develop and implement optimal strategic sourcing strategies for the category in consultation with the Proc Operations Director and supporting functions.
• Market and supply analysis including and cost trends to identify and manage risks and opportunities
• Tracking supplier performance and working with suppliers to improve performance year of year.
• Lead all bids, analysis and contracting for the categories under scope.
• Policy compliance with bidding and commercial terms and provide commercial governance to the category spend.
• Interface with suppliers to solve problems involving pricing, supply assurance, supplier performance, or any other matters that may arise

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Indirect material procurement, preferably in a food and beverage industry
• Strong financial acumen and experience including building annual operating plans and/or managing pricing mechanisms
• Possess strong business/commercial acumen allied with the ability to see bigger picture
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to build relationships with a wide array of people of different, organizational positions and locations (virtual).
• Well-developed analytical skills, able to leverage data to gain insights
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of delivery
