Back to the overview
Project Reconnect was launched April 2010 with a view to bringing marketers and consumers closer together. Brand communications are too often met with indifference, irreverence, even annoyance by consumers. WFA has launched Project Reconnect to try and provide guidance to marketers so that brand communications more closely reflect what people really want and expect from brands.
On March 12 in New York City, as part of the WFA's Global Marketer Week, WFA will hold an informal, interactive panel session with a group of young US teens to talk about brand communications, what they do and don't like, what's cool, what's not, what permissions they afford, what they don't afford and all with a focus on digital brand communications. The session will give participants face-to-face feedback on some of the key issues marketers are dealing with, both in terms of how to optimise connections as well as the regulatory ramifications of these new techniques. Key issues to address will include the use of social media, online gaming, mobile marketing, privacy issues and online targeting.
