WFA announces the recruitment of three new staff members, one in each of WFA's core work streams: a public affairs, communications and marketing knowledge manager.
Abtin Kronold from Iran/Sweden joined WFA as a Public Affairs Manager late February 2014. He works on global responsible advertising and children.
He brings a true international working experience having lived and worked in six different countries, and lived in another five.
Prior to joining WFA, Abtin was the EU Policy Co-ordinator at Facebook in Brussels for almost two years, working on a range of issues from child safety and security to cyber security and copyright. He has also worked as a legal consultant to the European Commission, conducting legal conformity assessments as a national expert. Between his degrees, Abtin also worked as a membership officer at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
Abtin holds a Swedish L.LM and a joint master's degree in EU Law and Policy, from four partner universities in France, Italy, Spain and Poland.
A Romanian national, Camelia Cristache joins WFA as Communications Manager. She will be responsible for the WFA's communications channels and will act as main point of contact for the WFA's network of national associations.
Her six year communications career began in a consultancy in Romania where she has worked with various companies and shaped their internal and external communications efforts. She brings with her communications expertise in FMCG, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy, ICT, as well as three years of experience in working with and for EU institutions.
Camelia moved to Brussels for a Masters in Communications and New Media and worked as Communications Adviser within the European Parliament prior to joining the WFA.
Natalia Echeverri from Colombia joins WFA as a Knowledge Manager, a new role created in response to our expanding membership, which will focus on the remote knowledge exchange.
She brings seven years of working experience with her, which began at the agency side of MillwardBrown (Colombia). There she managed several market research projects for the LATAM region with very well-known clients including SABMiller, Movistar, Kimberly Clark, Coca-Cola and many more. Following her role at Millward Brown she continued in retail marketing with a Chilean Department Store (Chile and Colombia), where she managed BTL events and developed social media strategies. Her most recent position was in digital marketing at Henkel Industrial Adhesives (Germany).
Natalia initially moved to France to obtain a Masters in International Marketing. After finishing she relocated to Brussels where her brother lives.
