Philippines association holds forum on healthy lifestyles

The Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) in partnership with the Ad Standards Council (ASC) and the Advertising Foundation of the Philippines (Ad Foundation), successfully held last July 23rd the Advertising Industry Forum on Healthy Lifestyles. Dr. Enrique A. Tayag, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Health, was the keynote speaker.
The forum's objectives were to create awareness amongst members of the Philippines advertising industry on why is there an urgent need to promote a healthy lifestyle amongst Filipinos (including children) and to encourage more companies to promote Healthy lifestyles in their communications efforts.
Close to 200 senior to middle managers from food and non-food PANA-member companies attended the event. Officers from different associations in the advertising industry were also present to show their support. Follow up meetings were held by PANA in August with the food sector, non-food sector and advertising industry association leaders to map out in more detail what plans and programs can be done in support of government's call for a healthy lifestyle.
