Martin Riley, CMO Pernod Ricard and WFA President, will join Marc Mathieu, Senior Vice-President of Marketing at Unilever at WFA's Project Reconnect panel session in Sydney in March. The session, which will take place on the afternoon of March 27th as part of the WFA's Global Marketer Week will explore the world's most inspiring recent brand stories, try and identify what they all have in common and what it all means for the future of marketing in the digital age.

WFA has teamed with social media agency, We Are Social, who have been reaching out to the broader marketing community in a bid to unearth the most inspiring business models and brand stories in the world today. Simon Kemp, MD of their Singapore office, will present the results of our findings before Marc Mathieu will try and identify the commonalities and give his view on the core components of a successful contemporary brand marketing strategy. Mathieu and Kemp will then be joined for an interactive panel debate by Martin Riley.

As background to the debate, WFA will also be unveiling the results of their first ever Global Brand Purpose Research. The research which has been conducted over the past six months with over 1000 marketers from over 30 countries has sought to identify different views on brand purpose, what purpose means to marketers in different countries, how successful different marketers have been in putting purpose behind their brand marketing and which companies they believe have done it most successfully.

The session is open to all WFA members and will be followed by a cocktail where no doubt the conversation will continue. For more information, contact Will Gilroy at [email protected]
