Malaysian Association appoints new President

The Malaysian Advertisers' Association (MAA) has elected Margaret Au-Yong, Head of Media at Tune Group, as its new President.
Margaret brings with her over thirty years of experience in the advertising industry as media owner, media planner and Media Director at an advertising agency, founder of Media Independent, CIA Medianetwork, CEO of CIA Mediaedge.
In 2006, after retiring from the advertising industry, Margaret took on a new challenge at Tune Group, an investment company active in industries stretching from transport and accommodation to telco and from financial to sports and entertainment, where she currently serves as Head of Media. Tune Group's CEO, Tony Fernandes, known for his passion for football, famously invested in London's Queens Park Rangers (QPR) back in 2011.
Addressing the MAA's Council upon her appointment, Margaret pledged that the Council will continue to work tirelessly to implement initiatives that will benefit not only its members but also the general Malaysian public. Such activities include digital marketing research, digital circulation reporting standards, the nurturing of young marketing talent and the celebration of effective marketing campaigns.
