After 20 years of dedicated service to the Hellenic Advertiser Association (HAA), Katy Petropoulou, Director General, will be retiring at the end of December 2012.

With extensive experience in communications and media and marketing, Katy took over as Director General of the HAA in 1993. Her focus through the years has been lobbying on the behalf of advertisers, and she led the development of a self-regulatory system in Greece, which laid the groundwork for the establishment of the Self-Regulation Council. A major milestone in her time as head of the association was the introduction of the Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Awards.

The HAA Chairman, Mr. Gregory Antoniadis said that “Katy had a very big impact on the history and the future path of HAA. Her knowledge, experience, cosmopolitan air and work ethic helped HAA to be seen as an entity to be reckoned with. She leaves behind a huge legacy, such as the Self-Regulation Council and the Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Awards. It has always been a great pleasure working with her.”
