Marketing spend is on the increase in all regions of the world, according to GroupM's This Year, Next Year - Worldwide media and marketing forecasts for Summer 2012 report.
Global year on year increase is forecasted to be 6.2% in 2013, with most growth coming from direct and specialist channels. Looking at specific regions, Europe will see a 6% year on year growth, Latin America 10%, Europe 3%, Asia Pacific 11% and Middle East and Africa 4%.
In terms of spend, North America and Europe account for about 68% of ad spend, APAC for 19%, Latin America 10% and the rest by Middle East and Africa.
