Back to the overview
WFA recently asked our national association members to benchmark their member services against other associations. 37 associations responded to our survey, and have shared the following insights:
  • The average number of staff per association is 6
  • 8% of associations now operate as 'for profit'
  • On average, 51% of associations' turnover comes from membership fees
  • The most common services offered are: ad hoc events, advocacy working groups, alerts on key policy and marketing issues
  • 32% of respondents don't offer surveys
  • Biggest drivers to recruitment are: by inviting non-members to seminars, conferences, etc; by encouraging board members to recruit by use of personal contacts

If you have filled out the survey, you will shortly receive a copy of the results. For any questions, please contact Minakshi Pai.
