Mission
Optimising marketing communications
WFA has a dual mission:
- To stimulate maximum effectiveness and efficiency of corporate ad spend through the sharing of knowledge, insights and expertise in marketing communications.
- To defend and promote responsible marketing communications
Global network to share best practice
WFA brings together international marketers and media managers to share knowledge and insights and be briefed on media-related issues. The secretariat constantly tracks new developments in the field of marketing communications, relaying relevant information throughout the network. As such, WFA members have a unique vantage point from which to address emerging opportunities and threats and thereby optimize their marketing and media strategies.
At a national, regional, and global level across five continents, WFA advocates:
- The fundamental importance of marketing communications to the global economy;
- A better understanding of marketing communications, the promotion of consumer choice and its benefits;
- The sharing of excellence and good practice in marketing communications among its members;
- Effective advertising self-regulation, by encouraging its members to actively endorse and comply with established self-regulatory codes of conduct.
