Nike’s Marketing Science team is part of the Insights & Analytics function, a growing team responsible for building and deepening a holistic view of Nike’s consumers through data and analytics and applying those insights to inform the development of incredible digital content & experiences for our consumers.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an innovative and experienced expert in the strategy, translation and application of Marketing Science to lead the Marketing Science (MS) team. You will be someone who’s passionate about the science of omni-channel marketing, dedicated to understanding consumer behaviors / responses, and adept at leading a team; who translates large volumes of data into simple insights with real world application. The role represents an unique opportunity to bring your vision and leadership skills into direct partnership with our EMEA Marketing function, driving a data-led and consumer centric marketing strategy that accelerates Nike’s mission to better create, serve and retain our consumers and members across consumer touchpoints.

What You Will Do
Vision and Leadership
Lead and mentor the EMEA Marketing Science team to deliver a multi-disciplinary applied analytics offense that delivers actionable, consumer-centric insights that drive EMEA Marketing’s contribution to brand growth, optimize brand content and innovate Nike’s media and marketing campaigns
Grow and sustain a team focus that drives engagement, revenue growth and ROAS efficiencies for Nike
Communicate the vision of Marketing Science to help others envision a greater sense of what is possible for the organization’s future
Coach team members to take a stand in the face of adversity when they believe in something
Create an environment in which varied perspectives and differences are openly shared, embraced, and incorporated into the team’s processes, work and activities
Insights Delivery
Direct resource plans and priorities in support of Insights & Analytics and Marketing objectives - strategic and operational – in order to deliver insights that are differentiated, clear, defensible, actionable and impactful
Leverage Marketing Science team capabilities to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data sources, signals and tools that best provide strategic and innovative recommendations to Marketing and transform how consumers perceive and engage with sport
Nurture analytical innovation in anticipating future consumer / business needs and challenge assumptions around new sources of data, application of analytics, machine learning, statistical forecasting, tools, talent, partners, etc
Influencing the business
Lead relationships with diverse Marketing and Media partners to understand current consumer and business needs, establish relevant strategic questions and define opportunities / requirements to address
Communicate insights generated with cohesive, understandable, and appropriate messages, reports, and presentations
Leverage broader partnerships across Insights & Analytics to accelerate EMEA Marketing, including in Geo and Global functional partners to help accelerate and utilize data capabilities and insights
Act as a champion in balancing worldwide consistency of Marketing Science approach alongside key EMEA differentiators
Clarify the organization’s vision and strategy and ensures that efforts are prioritized to support them

Who You Will Work With

Reporting to the VP Insights & Analytics, you will partner with Insights & Analytics and Marketing leadership teams as well as functional analytics teams both in identifying strategic focus for the business and team, and in bringing a holistic understanding of future growth opportunities.

What You Will Bring

You will join us with a minimum of 10 years' experience in insights and applied analytics roles, ideally including a background in Marketing Science and/or CRM, coupled with a history of excellence in driving consumer engagement and retention, membership, revenue and ROAS growth in the EMEA marketplace. Omnichannel digitally led retail experience is preferred.

You will also demonstrate:
Experience leading a large team (or groups of teams) and a strong history of analytical team leadership, communications, innovation and building collaborative business partner relationships.
Proven achievements in solving real-world advanced analytics challenges and leading a complex portfolio and multiple business partners in a fast paced, dynamic and environment.
Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication up to the senior executive level and out to wide, diverse audiences
Deep familiarity with very large data sources and best practice research methods and applied statistics, including sampling approaches, causal modeling, time series analysis, and data mining techniques in capturing and predicting consumer sentiment, behavior and feedback
Strong toolset skills required; business analytics/visualization tools (especially Tableau), advanced Excel, testing/optimization tools; some experience with SQL tools (in particular Databricks) and member/loyalty data is beneficial. Expertise with at least one production-quality programming language (e.g. Java, Python, C++) preferred.
