Head of Data Strategy & Framework (m/f/d)

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

Accountable to drive the Pharma (PH) data board as well as to develop the PH IT data architecture strategy, governance and competencies (incl. roles)
Responsible to establish data architecture frameworks for Digital Transformation & IT Pharma and for the adherence of PH IT functions
Accountable for defining and co-developing the IT & Digital data strategy for the Pharma across the different domains
Responsible to drive strategically PH IT data landscape and drive development of roadmaps to steer and optimize it, incl. overarching technological concepts and cloud usage in close collaboration with the lead architects
Identify opportunities for streamlining technology usage in data and analytics space
Build a strong connection to central IT teams within Infrastructure & Operations to enable holistic integration of corporate and PH data layer and robust operations
Contribute to business prioritization, challenge the status quo, direct strategic roadmap planning and optimization
Provide strategic consultation as well as guidance to IT product and business teams and effectively advise/support data related decisions of stakeholders (e.g., in sourcing decisions), ensuring consistency and adherence to Bayer principles
Drive the data architect community withing Digital Transformation & IT Pharma
Represent Pharma IT in Bayer data community across Bayer (e.g., enterprise architecture)

Who You Are

Relevant university degree in IT or technical field or business related discipline with long-term professional experience
Broad, deep and actual experience and oversight of IT tools, architecture principles and preferably data provision concepts for data science teams in R&D environments
Long-term experience in designing, developing, delivering or leading software solutions in a large scale, highly complex global environment as well as strong people leadership and development experience
Strong communication, collaboration and mentoring skills
Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment
Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve solution strategy based on research, data and industry trends
Ability to measure and effectively communicate the business value of proposals and deliverables
Ability to think strategically about technology and execute as necessary
Fluent in English, both written and spoken

This position can be located in Berlin or Leverkusen.
