Fourteen global and regional corporates operating in Latin America gathered together on October 23rd, 2012 to discuss and support plans for the launch of a new Ecuadorian Advertiser Association, ANDA Ecuador.

The meeting centred on the priority issues that should be addressed within the new association, including:
  • Legislative initiatives: Communications Law, Regulation of Advertising and Promotion, Consumer Protection Law, etc.
  • Development of advertising channels
  • Regulation of below the line (BTL) advertising
  • Consumer Financial Education

An Executive Board was also appointed, with representatives from Unilever, Telefónica, Sancella, Colgate-Palmolive, Kimberly-Clark and Avon. They also decided to create two working groups, one on Regulatory and Corporate Affairs and another on Media issues.
