Eight corporates in Ecuador met on 27th March 2013 to set up the Asociación Ecuatoriana De Anunciantes - the Ecuadorian Advertiser Association.

Telefónica, Cervecería Nacional, Kimberly Clark, Nestle, Unilever, Familia, Kraft and Coca Cola approved the bylaws of the association and agreed that the initial monetary contribution would be used to cover the legal paperwork to constitute and register the new association. They also elected the first Board. The next meeting was set for May 2 in Guayaquil.
