Colombian Association appoints new Executive President

As of 1st August, Elizabeth Melo will be the new Executive President of the Colombian Association of Advertisers (ANDA).

A Law graduate, Elizabeth Melo takes office after working for more than fifteen years in the public and private sector during which she gained extensive knowledge in strategic communications and sustainability issues.

Prior to joining ANDA, she worked for the Colombian National Planning Department, as well as for the Ministries of Environment, Finance, Agriculture and Foreign Affairs. She also served as advisor to the National Constituent Assembly and, until January 2014, as Director of External Relations of energy company Empresa de Energía de Bogotá. In the private sector, she has had a significant role as the Chairman of the Board of the Corporación Red Local del Pacto Global para Colombia, between 2009 and 2014.

Elizabeth succeeds Carlos Delgado Pereira, who was Executive President of ANDA for 11 years and who tragically passed away in 2013.
